Instead of flying to the Caribbean or Italy this summer, my boyfriend and I decided to take a road trip to Belvedere Tiburon, California in July of this summer. Often times, as a builder my boyfriend already has business there. This time we decided to extend our stay to have some fun and adventures. Belvedere Tiburon instantly became my favorite stay by the ocean because it’s perfectly situated by San Francisco and the Golden Gate Bridge. Not to mention the food is delicious, the sites are magical and the ocean is magnificent.
While we stayed in Tiburon we managed to get a great discount at The Lodge at Tiburon simply because they had extra rooms to rent that night and we waited until later in the evening to book a room. Also finding great Travelocity coupon codes helped save us some money while we were on our trip in Northern California.
The Lodge at Tiburon is within walking distance to a ferry ride that takes you to San Francisco. Not to mention, if you’d rather bike or go by car, San Francisco is close in distance. Many adventures await you in Tiburon – you might even find yourself taking the ferry to Angel Island like my boyfriend and I did. We walked the five mile walk around the island while we were blessed to overlook the waves, sail boats, and Golden Gate Bridge. Angel Island is also filled with history and old hospitals that date back before World War II.
Keep in mind that Tiburon is in Marin County; where hiking, jogging, and biking await you. Another activity my boyfriend and I happily enjoyed was a nine mile hike in Palo Alto in the glorious mountains. In a past trip my boyfriend and I also stopped by Napa River Valley and Sonoma where we enjoyed the vineyards and delightful restaurants.
If you desire to take a trip on a budget, consider a place close to a city you enjoy and within driving distance that you’ve desired to see. You’ll be surprised how many romantic hotels exist! You’ll also discover nature, which is inviting you to bathe in sunshine with your significant other or travel companion. Take advantage of the sites in your same state that have been left unseen. I guarantee you’ll find a new city that you now love!
